The way that the buds are arranged on the spike makes me think this one is gonna be a boy! Maybe I'm too eager to be able to tell just yet, but the other spike formed differently. It's progressing at a pretty good rate now.
Now there are male flowers on their way. Ctsm. sanguineum and their hybrids easily develop female flowers under cultivation, more willingly than other species. They are strong growers, and with a strong upright stem they are good for making hybrids. A strong bulb can develop several spikes in one season. As pointed out before, I would not change growing conditions too.
