Sievekingia marsupialis
From moist lowland forests in Ecuador and probably Colombia, so it likes to be watered frequently on warm summer days. Blooms several times a year, but short-lived.

Beautiful! Is the plant smaller than Stanhopea or is it about the same size?

Plants of the genus Sievekingia are much smaller than a Stanhopea. No fragrance noticed on this one.

Lovely, I am not familiar with this genus. Certainly not seen or found in any collections here in Africa. Thank you for sharing.
