Steve,
I have a small plant and two seedlings of jenishiana, and they are to young to bloom; Dr Jenny's book doesn't specify the time of 'dry period', as Barney Greer's book: "[...]it grows at 800 to 1500 meters in tropic, moist forests, which usually have a pronounced seasonal dry period[...]". In Southern hemisphere the 'dry period' lasts (usually) from may to august (4 months, only soft rains during this time), and this is the time of 'hydric stress' I use in my Stans lietzei and wardii to induce blooming (successfully!), with no water in media, only occasional sprays. So, I think only one month it's not enough!
