My new Stan nigroviolacea
Can't claim credit for this guy, but i wanted to get a new Stan since my embreei is not looking like blooming any time soon. This guy was in bloom, has lots of growth, 3 spikes and was cheap in its condition.
It's my first stan bloom i've ever seen in person, they're stunning - like multicoloured alien squid. And they smell just so orchidy.

Very very nice. And the plant itself looks incredibly healthy. Congratulations. That's definitely a great find.

That's just beautiful! It's only a pity the blooms are so short lived.

You're right, today they're all drooping and don't smell as much I asked the guy for one in bud, not in bloom because i wanted to see the flowers as long as i could but the one in bud was nowhere nearly as good a specimen.
