Default Brown in roots?!

Hello !
I have two black orchids from Fredrick Clark. The one I haven't even re-potted bc it bloomed and I think its cycle was pushed back. But the mc2 didnt bloom for me and im now worried im doing something wrong to it ? Brown in roots?!-uploadfromtaptalk1399335727673-jpgBrown in roots?!-uploadfromtaptalk1399335747471-jpgBrown in roots?!-uploadfromtaptalk1399335766871-jpg I have potted it loosing and now I think I need to re pot it. After reading about how once they start their growth they are heavy feeders and water lovers !
I was wondering what media to use. I was holding on to this broken pot after seeing the roots grow all crazy like . But now im worried.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I use tap water and I just started feeding small amounts
Thanks
Anna ♡

I'm not sure what your question is. Your plant looks good, you do not need to change anything.

The roots look good. I use the sphagnum moss mixed in with a little bit of crunched lava rock to help with air flow.
The watering is okay, I feed WEAKLY WEEKLY (1/4) recommended feeding dose each week. Once a month I use seaweed extract on mine. i also like using Magical by technaflora (its magnesium (I think) and Calcium) I have seen good improvements in my plants since starting that ever two weeks plants. does that help any? Also are you concerned because the roots are a brown shade? Mine get color changed from the seaweed extract so you should be okay there.
Very jealous you have 2 black after darks. I have one tiny one and a really amazing colorful one from FredClarkea. Good growing.

Oh I have really hard well water, and thus far no issues. If you wonder if you are not watering enough you can always use the wooden skewer method just stick it in the media wait a minute then pull it out if it is still wet you are prob good for another day these plants like to be moist but not soaking wet. Here in Texas I am watering ever few days because they are drying out so quickly.

Its early may and it was 98 when I got in my truck after class. Whew! I could barely touch my steering wheel.
