It wasn't for sale! But I did manage to wheedle a promise of a division when the owner repots it. Keeping my fingers crossed for sure!

Love Gongora! If only most of them didn't get so big...

I've always thought they look like flying dragons. A Thai friend of mine doesn't really see that -- to her they look like birds. Not totally surprising the difference in perception there ... in the orient, dragons are not winged and are more serpentine.

Holy crow that looks so cool. It looks like some far out predator bird/dragon in flight going towards its prey. Really really hope you win the award you surely deserve it.

Thanks again everyone. Flowers are fallin off daily....very short blooming time. Still love it.

Will post the super fulva pictures when it blooms....just discovered while watering yesterday that it has 2 spikes.

Missed judging by a few days, story of my life!!! Has more flowers this time (35) than when I won the provisional award (31 flowers). It has a new spike on the other side of plant and I'm hoping it has better timing this time as there are 38 buds. Thanks for looking. Colonal name I gave it is 'David's Dragons' after the deceased grower/previous owner of this plant.

This crazy plant has another string of 40 buds...looks like it's going to open in the nest short while....judging is a week away...I think it's just trying to drive me insane!!!
