Is it normal for a catesetum to bloom twice during the life of one pseudobulb? Male

A strong plant of some species can bloom up to four times with one spike. Others bloom simultaneously with two spikes. A Catasetum expansum in my collection bloomed 3 times last year. All flowers were male.
