Default Peristeria pendula

I grow this plant since March. When I saw 4 spikes developing a total of 30 round balls, who later turned dappled, I became curious like a child at Christmas eve.
Now the flowers have opened. I haven't yet smelled the reported strong citric fragrane.
Dove orchids (=Peristerias) are found in Central and South America in intermediate humid climates. They undergo a winter rest. I grow them along with my Lycastes and Trichopilias.
I confess I am fascinated by this unusual plant.

Gorgeous plant. Now I want one.
Buds look like bunch of grapes.
Can you use normal tap water for it?
Also would love to know where I can get this plant.

Beauty, the colors reminds me of Catasetum denticulatum.

Agreed. Now I want some more.
Tap water may work, if it is not overly hard. But rainwater with fertilizer is better. Just the way all Cattleyas get.
Carter and Holmes offer Peristeria elata to my knowledge. They have a site for cultural advice.
For pendant Peristerias south American vendors such as Orquivalle, ecuagenera or Peruflora should be effective.
