Ok, so I thought I have it with catasetums, I mean, I read so much, know their growing circle, have some going to sleep, one from Thailand that has already new growth close to 4 inches, all doing great, but 2 weeks ago I got Catasetum saccatum lita at the orchid show, and I really do not know what to do with it. It came bare rooted so I did use actually that mix for catasetums from the thread posted here - sawdust, pebbles and dolomite powder, but I am very confused if with this one I should withhold water or not??? The thing is, the growths do not look mature to me, there is one bigger with all green leaves, one new that does not even have the bulb shape yet, but there is some new tiny growth starting also. What I am suppose to do, I do not want to kill this with watering when in dormancy, however it does not look to me as this plant is in winter rest mode, or will be any time soon???? Any ideas welcome!
