The scent is like a sweet herbal concoction and is a little on the weaker side of stanhopea scent intensity. This one, surprisingly, grows better than my Stan. wardii and is currently about 3 ft. in diameter. This thing is the largest orchid in my collection so far.

No, its actually very easy. I got mine to bloom in normal home settings. If you want specifics, the temp. is between 63-75 during its blooming season and humidity fluctuates between 39-47 percent. It is kept evenly moist with mild air circulation from a ceiling fan. The environment should be kept somewhat constant without extreme differences in factors such as temp.
