Kegeliella atropilosa
Here is one of the smaller members of the stanhopea group. It likes medium light levels. To much light and it will drop all it's leaves. The leaves are spinach green on top and dark brownish burgundy on the under side. The flowers don't have any fragrance and are about 3/4" to 1". This plant is growing in a 4" basket.

Nice species! I always like seeing the less common species in cultivation. Thanks for sharing your photos.
Is this easy to care for, or finicky? Is the care similar to other Stanhopeas?

Outstanding. I wish you enduring success. All hints for growing are highly appreciated.

Very nice, I always liked this one, especially for the spikes hanging down like this, great looking in the baskets!

This is pretty cool. Too bad there's no scent though.

I grow this along with all my other stanhopeas. Intermediate temps. (55* to 65*) and 80% humidity. I'm just carfull to keep away from brite light. I keep the humidity up with a Hydro-fogger that is on a timer. I don't have a greenhouse and grow under florescent lights.

The flowers remind me a little of Paphinia ... albeit simpler in form.
