I think I have seen one like this at Brooklyn Botanical Garden in the fall. I believe the name was cooperi something.

The flower shape was the same, but the flowers were mostly olive green with some copper tone, and very numerous on larger plant. There were two spikes with each carrying about twenty? I did not count exactly but there were many many.
I was almost shocked and hopeful at the same time because back then I had my cycnodes Golden Shower, which seemed so tiny compared to what I saw at the garden.

Does this one have scent also?
The one I saw at the garden was enclosed in glass area, so I could not smell anything.

No scent, maybe very little, could it have been this one you saw at the garden.

Its the first time mine is blooming so more in the future would be great, but I think it did a pretty good god for a youngster.

I see!

I guess I don't have to worry about getting some great orchids when I move to Germany then.

I imagine it will be easy (if not easier?) to get orchids there.
