I am actually starting to think that the original pot prior to division may have had 2 different cat varieties........as the differences are really noticeable now. Anyway the only way to be sure is to hope for spikes on both, or if that doesn't happen reverse plant the bulbs next year ! But it is evident that a smaller pot doesn't inhibit lush growth......but it is also evident that from yours at least, a larger pot doesn't either !

If you haven't bloomed the plant(s)...absolutely!...it's possible you have a couple of different plants there. Strangers things have happened.

Surprises can be a lot of fun...hopefully both pieces make spikes soon.

Haha, ok well I put it in a larger pot because 1) the grower that I got it from said that it should be repotted after blooming, and 2) once I got it out of the last pot the old root system had taken over the whole pot, so I figured that it would appreciate some more room to grow

Oh and thanks for all the feedback =]

Also, what light level should I be aiming for?

Here's the plant in it's current condition. Last year's growth is wimpy compared to to years ago.

But good news! It looks like there's a new shoot (or two) coming up!

this is mine now - in a "small" pot. Yep - I am going to stick with small in my growing conditions ! Its in a south-facing window and receives a lot of hot sun - seems to love it. I can see I am going to have a problem in straightening up the one new growth.....
