ah! ENVY! catasetinae are pretty hard to find in EU except 4-5 common species and hybrids.

I am finding they are a lot easier to attain here. But you do run into the same ones over and over again, like Pink Lemonade and Frilly Doris....I have a frilly Doris but I don't really care for the Pink Lemonade. I can't find the Nicolasa Tavarez picture is the only thing. I have seedling catasetum whose parent is a Nicolasa Tavarez and nada....

on facebook I was looking at the album of Jumbo Orchid with a face like this .. I'd like to have some of those but all CITES and Phyto papers... In Italy it is a really long and hard way to obtain them

OT
It's not a catasetinae but I LOVE thei hybrid Cymbidimangis Jumbo Ellisi (Grammangis ellisi x Cymbidiella pardalina).

Cyms do not do well in this heat. But they are quite gorgeous! I have heard tht CITES Paperwork and paperwork from international countries, to another is a terror and a half. And then the chance of not receiving them. Yikes!

they do good in the heat. Cymbidiella, not cymbidium!, is from Madagascar. They need hot and high munidity, that's the problem. I suppose Texas is pretty heat but low low humidity, isn't it?

How many catasetums do you already have Kindra, I know you love them:-) Very nice plant. I got today my Mormodes igneum, I love this guy, so cute, and the color is amazing! And it grows on the full direct sun!!! Check it out, I think you will love this one (if you do not have one already!)
