I saw their ebay page and am intrigued. I am a little bit leary to purchase a plant from them because their ebay pictures make the flowers look brown and not black. I love these orchids because they are black, and Im scared to buy anything that may not be.

Another side note that is begging the question for me, I wonder why Fdk. After Dark is so expencive when this hybrid is black and looks pretty much the same... just a thought.

Ohhh they are black as night with a deep deep red hue in there for a colorful pop. That is where mine and several other members are from.

I was wondering the same thing....I have a fdk. After dark I got for 15.00 online...but I feel like that the super exspensive one you are apeaking of may be a variation of the fdk after dark that I received for a fraction of the cost.

Ahh just rechecked it is called FDK DARK SVO *BLACK PEARL* blooms look different than my monn. Millenium. Also looks like thenone I am looking at on ebay price has dropped slightly but it is a huge plant over 2 ft tall that could effect the price I am sure.

The Fdk. has several FCC's attached to it and is just generally more famous and desired.

FCC= First Class Certificate and is the best award given to a flower by the American Orchid Society (AOS).
