I'm in the UK: I got the integerrimum from a UK seller called Orchid Alchemy. Nice guy: he has mostly seedlings which he grows from seed himself, so I think it might be a year or two until it flowers. I've had it a year and got it through dormancy once, and I think it's heading back to sleep now.

I agree it's a cool flower, but I've limited space (growing inside in my flat) so one green hoody is enough for me, so I'm hoping Lost Tag turns out to be something else. I've seen a tabulare on eBay with pulbs that look just like Lost Tag...

RATS! That was the first time I have ever seen one of these. Sanguineum Paterick I have seen several times. But the bidding is outrageous to get a hold of them. Trust me.

I bought another lot off the same eBay seller. 2 more lost tags and a sanguinum. And I got a surprise when I opened the parcel: she'd included two more! Tiny little things with a pulb and a new growth each, only about an inch high, so it's going to be a little touch and go if I can raise them. But fingers crossed: they are a pileatum x expansum (Orchidglade) and a tabulare!!!!

Just got a pot of Monn. Millenium Magic 'witchcraft' AM/AOS.

The flowers are almost black!

Unfortunately, my search shows that one of the species used, Mormodes, are the most susceptible to rot in the catasetinae family. lol

Don't panic too much: a lot of the mormodes crosses are pretty easy plants I believe, eg my Cycnodes Wine Delight (Cycnoches x Mormodes) is a total weed. I've not heard anyone say that clone is difficult, so I'd guess it will be fine.

By the way, I think my lost tag plants could be Mormodes or Cycnoches as well as Catasetums. And I'm not ruling out hybrids... the seller labelled them 'species' but she had a huge mix! Fingers crossed playing by ear will see them through to flowering LOL
