See, and this is what I am confused about, I was asking which one is more desirable, and I thought is is female:-) So, let's hope for a male than:-)

female flowers are the green color hooded ones, in which all of them look similar regardless of their type, the male flowers are the colorful ones (at least for most of them) and it is the male which made the id of the plant possible.

I see, I have the WITCHCRAFT, so the color should be mystically black:-)

errrr.....if i am not mistaken only the cycnoches and catasetum have sexual dimorphism, any integeneric hybrids will produce a perfect flowers. i don;t have a Moneirara yet but i think the same rules apply

not sure about moneirara, but generally about 6-7 weeks from the emergence of spike bud to blooming in my climate here

Thanks, I hope it will be after I come back from my trip, I want to take pics of so many babies going to bloom soon, and it seems like all decided to pretty much open that last September week when I'm gone:-) They are close but not there yet:-)

I wanted female flowers not for beauty but for propagation and hybridizing.
Also some Mormodes show flower dimorphism. Very strange and I do not know if this is the beginning of sexual dimorphism.

mormodes showing sexual dimorphism?! is that mormodes a hybrid or a species mormodes? interesting
