... and don't forget tu run out on the street, the plant on one hand (preferably the one not yet burned!) holding it below 3 feet, and dancing and yelling out VERY LOUD: PAPH PAPH PAPHINIA!! PAPH PAPH PAPHINIA!!!
and for god's sake, let your husband film the whole story and post it in Youtube!!!
1. Wait for full moon
2. Fire
3. Orchid below 3 ft
4. Chicken feathers in hair
5. Dance naked under said full moon
6. Run around my cul-de-sac yelling PAPH PAPH PAPHINIA!! PAPH PAPH PAPHINIA!!! (very loud)
7. Wait for men with large butterfly net to take me away to my new home
8. Take blooming Paphinia Majestic with me...will look lovely on the windowsill with the bars as a backdrop
mine did nothing for a long time, then it would bud then drop (about a year) then I guess it finally reached maturity (I guess, because I didn't change anything else) and it blooms a few times a year (but still often proceeded by a series of buds that fall off)
changed it's environment and then it will blast on me.
I found the same thing: my P clausula had about 8 spikes, one of which flowered. Then I had problems with the greenhouse tech, which took two weeks to resolve. A fan died, needed to get new fans, aftrer i installed it, the temperature was different, the fogger got blocked, etc.
As a consequence allmost all spikes shriveled and died. But there are new ones coming
