Cyc. warscewiczii 'Jumbo'
It was by accident that I found this plant in bloom in my greenhouse. The flowers were hidden and camouflaged by the leaves. The flowers are huge. They measure more than 5 inches horizontally. The plant is grown in a 4-inch plastic pot with New Zealand Sphagnum Moss as the media. The bulb with the flowers is 10 inches tall. The original tag had the plant identified as Cyc. chlorochilon. Experts on this forum corrected the name after seeing photos of an earlier bloom.

I am not usually fond of this genus. But this one is a beauty.

Another great one Mel! If I recall correctly, I really enjoyed the scent on mine too.

That's a beauty, Mel. And my favorite cycnoches species (well, okay, the only one I've managed to consistently grow every year without killing, which makes it my favorite). The scent alone is enough to recommend this species to anyone who enjoys strong fragrances.
