I totally agree that the moderators on the OB should place the non Cymbidium Alliance posts in other sections. The Alliance should dictate the posts, NOT the tribe.

Default planting a large compot of Cyrtopodium polyphyllum now

Hello from California;
I have a large compot (meaning well-spaced, only a dozen plantlets) for this plant and have high hopes. Using small amount of organic matter, perlite and sand.

This orchid plant could have been a large specimen already but I have been giving some canes to others who wanted some. This is spiking every year but since it is outdoors in summer it gets eaten by squirrels. It flowered last July but I was on tour with an off-Broadway musical so I was not able to photograph it.
