My mom was right, the bud she described as "almost obscene"...once it opened today even more so. But I love things that are different and find this one very intriguing. Can not take credit for the bloom, it came in bud with a recent order....may just have to expand on my Coranthes collection! Thanks for looking.

Its a beautiful flower. I dont know what is obscene about it...nature has made it so...it is engineered to have this kind of texture, shape and form to attract the pollinator it needs to propagate its specie...
You know that this is easy to care for as long as you follow the culture.

Yes Bud you are right, and the weird thing is the flower has totally a different form from what it looked like in the morning, the large beige petals/sepals have curled to a point that they are 1/2 the size. Guess that is normal. As for culture I plan to grow with my stans and hoping and thinking they like similar conditions???
Have managed to keep another smaller/younger cory alive and growing in this manner. Let me know if any hints. Thanks.
