Clowesetum Jumbo York

Just got into the Ctsms when Fred Clarke came to do a lecture here in Memphis. I am really liking these and they are quickly becoming my 3rd favorite type of orchid.

Here is my first bloomer, Clo. Jumbo York. It is a cross between Clowesia Rebecca Northern 'Grapefruit Pink' x Catasetum Orchidglade 'Sun Rise' JC/AOS

It's not fully open but it is really pretty! I want more of these. They are so easy to grow. No water all winter and keep the greenhouse no lower than 55 degrees.

That frilly lip is definitely from the Clowesia and the color is from Catesetum. Looks great!! Did it keep the amazing Clowesia scent?

Sunset Valley Orchids (Fred Clarke) just updated their Catasetinae listings for summer 2012.

I ordered a Clo. Jumbo York. Also a Cyc. cooperi, Cl. rosea, Cl. Rebecca Northen, Cl. Rebecca Northen 'Grapefruit Pink' x Ctsm. denticulatum and a Cyc. Swan Cascade and a couple of Cattleya.
