Indeed!! But:
Cymbidium Alliance
Including Ansellia, Cymbidium, Cyrotopdium, Eulophia Grammangis, Grammatophyllum and their Hybrids.
I don't really mind either way, I was just giving you a hard time! lol

Well, they DO cross with Cyms also.
Grammatophyllum × Cymbidium = Grammatocymbidium.
BUT, Stanhopeas and Gongoras DON'T cross with Catasetums yet they are lumped together here even though they aren't in the same alliance !!!

Ya, I always thought the mods set this group up as "The Weirdo Alliance."
Just get all those oddball plants in one place!

Must have been !!!! You'll love this then !!! As a result of the category here, as I just started delving into the Gongora genus I THOUGHT that I could cross them with all my Catasetinae !!! I collected the pollen from my first Gongora bloomer and ONLY THEN did I find out that it was a NO-GO !!!
That misinformation is actually not too funny for a newbie !!! I've been around the orchid world long enough to laugh and let it roll off, but I think all misinformation is a detriment to newbies and should be corrected !!!

I just love the camouflage design of the flowers...I searched specifically for the small and compact Gramma and found one...still a seedling but 6 inches tall alrady...I hope it blooms magnificantly just like your plant ...
