The easiest Clowesia to find in Europe are the hybrids like Jumbo Grace, Grace Dunn, and Rebecca Northen, the later is harder to find.

Jim, I hope you will see your plant bloom this year.
I am not a big fan of most of the Clowesetum I have seen in pictures, aside a few like Jumbo Circle and Jumbo Polar.
There are so any crosses in this alliance, you can always find something you like!

It hasn't dropped it's leaves this year and just started putting up a small something. Too early to tell and hoping for a spike, but considering it only has 2 p-bulbs; one the size of a quarter and the other the size of a cigar, I suspect it's a new shoot. Still happy I didn't kill it over winter.

Yes. I got it in leaf from Fred Clarke on 11.08.2011. It never even looked like it was going to try to go dormant.

Jim - Fred's rule is this, if it hasn't gone dormant by January 1st, stop watering it and force the dormancy. And as strange as it may seem, once you stop watering, even if they go into spike and/or bloom, they don't get watered unless the bulbs show major signs of dessication.

Thanks Glen. Now, since it's the last week of February, should I go ahead and force dormancy or grow on? As you can see, I'm totally new to these.

Ill post a couple of pics of what I've got when I get to a proper computer. Plant is in a 3 1/2 inch pot. Largest p-bulb is 4 inches tall.

Jim - I would, even though the areas where they grow has diminished rain in the winter, there is heavy dew and mist. So I don't think you have done any harm, I'm not overly convinced that it is the dry rest that triggers new growth but why chance it.

I would actually let it grow. Its kind of late to force dormancy (it should actually start growing again soon) and you might end up confusing the plant, especially with the lengthening days. Just my
