Catasetum roseo-album
Talk about timing !!! I was hoping to take this one to judging but nada ! When I got back yesterday I checked and ONE bloom had opened !!!! It was playing hide and seek with me !!!!! That was the closest to a plant giving me a raspberry that I've ever known !!!!
Anyhow, 2 spikes with 21 & 23 buds/blooms ! They are male flowers !

None detected, but I'll check again. It's only the second day opened. I'm going to be sure and get pollinia from this one !

I don't know, Ian, but if RHS is the final authority they say roseo-album is a natural hybrid between discolor and longifolium. From the pix I've seen I think they're right because mine is similar to both but not the same as either. They don't show anything for Ctsm. roseo, and it says ciliatum is also a natural hybrid but neglects to say between what ! That's a FIRST for RHS in all the times I've searched there !

No links, just what I searched on RHS !
Here's updated pix of rosie ! The last 3 pix are of the older spike. You can tell because they crossed their legs !
