Default Coryanthes verrucolineata

An orchid only a mother can love, but i really think they are beautiful
It has been a bit too cold in my growing area, so the flowers are only about 5cm. tall. They did not fully develop before the buds opened and there is no "warts" along the flowerneck, but hopefully this Coryanthes has the correct ID.

The stem went straight down into the medium, so i was lucky to see it, and could remove some of the spaghnum and the cocosfibre.

Thanks, its good to know i am not alone to like these
A friend said it was the ugliest flower she had ever seen, when i showed her a picture of another Coryanthes i have. Thats why i say only a mother ( or father) are the only ones that love this "child"
It has no smell, but it might be a bit too early.

Corys will never win any beauty prizes. However, their design makes them cool in a horror movie kind of way.

A new one for me, since I'm a Bulbo lover, this is a strange enough one for me. A Beauty, Thanks for sharing!
