Mystery Stanhopea!
Default Mystery Stanhopea!

Hi all, I was really looking forward to see my first wardii open in bloom this morning. It bloomed alright but it didn't look anything like a wardii I thought. The fragrance was minimal, you have to stick your nose right at the flower to notice a pleasant cinnamon scent. The color is of a light green color with faint purple/brown spots. The 'eye' spots are also of a reddish-brown color and the cavity of the lip has similar colored markings as well! I did a search and I was narrowing my choice as ruckeri formerly as inodora but doesn't explain the spots. Is this a variation of a wardii?

Thanks Gwallogwyn! I'll relabel it as Stan ruckeri! I guess the spots threw me off, mines has a bit more spotting!
