Cycnoches chlorochilon x Cycnodes Jumbo Micky
The pix are old and she's outside right now just growing, but she is my ABSOLUTE first introduction to the Catasetinae alliance world that has grown to become my favorite !!! I've been clued in by an AOS judge very familiar with Catasetinae that this one had the best COLOR he'd ever seen ! I've tried the last 2 seasons to get to the judging with her in bloom. 2009 and she was JUST on the last of her 2 week window and starting to show wilt signs = passed by. Last year I was on the way and VERY OPTIMISTIC about an award, she had 2 spikes in 95% full bloom like the pix, and my car died on the way !! I couldn't raise ANYONE to come to the rescue and get me to the judging !!! Maybe this year !!

Chryss it looks almost exactly like Cycnodes Jumbo Puff and the yellow clone of Cycnodes Wine Delight, absolutely stunning. Is the fragrance the same as that of the Cycnoches chlorochilon parent?
I have got to make it to your Show sometime and buy one of everthing that you do and then switch bags on the way out.

Actually got that one at an NCOS meeting. Don't know the chlorochilon fragrance because The only specie I had was a bad seedling buy and croaked rather quickly ! I have 2 of Puff. One looks like Cyc. warscewiczii and I was told that they might be mislabeled. The other sure looks like chlorochilon !

All of the Jumbo Puffs that I've seen look like your fat bulbed one and they have all had monstrous bulbs. The skinny bulbed one could be the same cross just favoring the Cyc warscewiczii

I totally agree with you, as much as I love the Cycnoches, I relly love the shape and waxy texture of the Cycnodes crosses.

I'm confused, the two pictures of the individual plants are supposed to be what, because the fat bulb plant looks like Jumbo Puff and the skinny bulbed one looks like straight chlorochilon.
