Great looking color and shape on the chlorochilon x Jumbo Micky. Hopefully you can show it next year!

You just mixed ME up, Glen ! The FAT one on the right looks close to the chlorochilon X I started this thread with. The SKINNY one on the left looks like warscewiczii only smaller. I just went to IOSPE and you're right it's also close to chlorochilon but I think it looks more like warscewiczii.
I bought them both as Cycnodes Jumbo Puff 'HC Sky' but was told they might be mislabeled.
WhadoIdonow ?? So Jumbo Puff actually looks like my chlorochilon X Jumbo Micky ? I like my cross better and I'll keep skinny as a NOID ! Comments, Glen ?

Chryss -
I just spoke with a friend who is Catasetinae knowledgeable who says that you have 2 Cycnodes Jumbo Puff. He said a very small percentage came out looking like your skinny one that looks like a poor
warscewiczii.
Problem solves, confusion over. lol

Thanks, Glen for all your effort !
Actually I like the "poor" warscewiczii better than the species warscewiczii OR the poor Puff that looks like a weak version of my chloro X Micky !!! Just personal taste ! Now all I have to do is get them to bloom again !!! The "fatty" has had bug issues and the "skinny" has taken over in the growth dept ! Skinny might bloom but doubtful fatty will.

Now that we have covered catasetum, mormodes, clowesias, cycnoches and their hybrids, how about Catasandra (Catasetum x Galeandra) take a look at this;

Nice one Glen !
I had Catasandra Fanfare (Catasetum expansum X Galeandra baueri) but it tested virused and I was talked into trashing it. You won't catch me doing that again ! I just won't divide and pass it around but if I like it I'll keep it from now on ! It was nice !

I had virus issues once upon a time, once testing kits were available I tested the entire collection which at that time was about 2500 plants. Almost all the virus I found was in the Cattleya alliance about 10% (200), plants were thrown on the burn pile.
I have taken to testing eveything that I buy or recieve as a gift or trade. That way I don't have to be as concerned about torching my clippers which I do anyway.
I finally gave away all of my hard cane Dendrobiums, Vandas and Cattlyas except for my tampensis crosses and my schomburgkia crosses. Life has been simpler since then.

I helped my mentor fill 3 LARGE trash cans and not just throw the complete plant in but cut each one into pieces so more would fit in !!! Was not a nice experience but they were his. I am very careful with my culture practices and sterilize my cutting tools also. He has about 3000 and mostly Catts and Cyms.
