Wonderful: I love that one. Not seen fimbriatum at any European nursery (-:

Very nice!

What mix do you grow in? My wife scored a Catsetum as a meeting door prize and it will need to be repotted. Currently in 100% spag in a 2.5 inch pot with roots coming out everywhere. It is so tight, I might have to cut the pot off.

Cheers.
Jim

I use 100% sphag with about 1" of leca at the bottom. The leca is because I sit them in a saucer and leave about 1/2"water or water with fertilizer in it when I water or fert. I've no problem sacrificing a pot to save a plant ! When Ctsms are growing they need full strength fertilizer. I use 1 tsp/gallon and also add timed release to the media ! They go from a tiny new growth bud to full size pbulb, put out leaves and then bloom all in one season !!! That's part of the fascination of that alliance !!!

Default UPDATE

This is my other half of same plant in bloom now. When I got it as a gift it was a FULL sized plant and I divided it, while repotting, into 5 divisions !!! I think that's the reason it sulked for 3 years ! It folds the lower sepals back in about 3 days like the last pix.
