Default catasetum penang

well, this is a ctsm penang cross but somehow it is pale green rather than red as the usual. its a reciprocal cross of the original registered ctsm penang

Love the color. Could it be considered an alba form?

initially thought of that too but i was told by one of the senior members that the original ctsm penang red is a derivation of the ctsm pileatum var imperiale x with susan fuchs to come out with the red variety color.
but if you were use a pale color pileatum such as green or yellow, you may end up with such color. an alba form?! i really got no idea but the grower might be able to answer this. will throw him the question the next trip there in a month or two.

Kim - The short answer to your question is no. This is a prime example of why we use clonal names, to help us identify differences in siblings.
