First time forum member -- needing help with Stanhopea tigrina culture. All but two small leaves have fallen off and many new shoots have started but died at 1 - 2 inches tall. I am growing it outside (Stuart, Florida) under a tree and it is still in the plastic basket in which I received it April, 2011. Most of the sphagnum in the basket is green with algae and hard to re-wet when I water the plant. Should I repot it? What to do? Thanks for any advice.
