Nick - First off welcome to the Orchid Board. Your Stanhopea looks like it definately hasn't been getting enough water. Your moss looks fine but it has gone completely dry, that is why you are having problems wetting it. Soak it in a bucket of water for 30 45 minutes and you will be on the right path. Don't let it dry out completely, you have some new growth starting and given enough water and fertilizer your plant should start to look fairly normal over the winter. Good luck!!

Thank you, Steve. I will water it thoroughly to wet the sphagnum and then twice a week thereafter until those two new 1-inch growths mature.
