I have had this Anguloa dubia for the past 3 years. During that time it bloomed the same color for two years. This year it has bloomed a completely different color. Any guesses why?

Well, if you have ruled out the fact that you have two plants in your pot (happens a lot!), then it is most likely the difference in temperature between the current bloom and the other years. Did the previous blooms occur in either cooler or warmer weather? Also, differences in sunlight can cause color changes.
