Default Cycnodes Wine Delight 'Jem'

ohhh these smell wondermous ...Was in a greenhouse for a few days and kept smelling something not cattleya or dendrobium not encyclia. Ohhh It was this one. Starting to blossom today when I got home...Have some Big Buds!!!

I understand the culture of these is similar if not exactly like the Catasetums. We see how this looks next year after its gets wintered.

RJ - Well done, mine are nowhere near that far along. Usually they are at their peak just in time for my Society's Annual Show in mid September. When they are in bloom, I have to take them out of the greenhouse, their smell is so sweet it's overwhelming almost like cherry kool-aid.

nice big blooms and the smell after a few days Ive decided is very medicinal in its origin. Kind of like a spiced Ben Gay. Very oil heavy in the scent.
The blooms are gracefully shaped and spread out across the spike ever so carefully.. An all around great plant to attempt to grow and bloom out
