RJ- I always said that the smell was like cherry koolaid, I do know that when mine is in bloom I have to take it out of the greenhouse because the scent is over-powering. Nice growing.

Its an AM/AOS awarded cultivar so the blooms had some help before I got it. We see how it does next time around. Its been inside while it blooms and maybe why its very strong scent has given me a headache..but I LIKE IT ...not the headache but the smell !!happens to me if I smell anything too long ..


perfume gives me a headache too and why I dont wear it

Looks great real waxy looking flowers. My spike is just starting must be the 100 degree heat you are having, we've only gotten to 95, I think. Love the wine color, gives me something to look forward too.

Wow, very lovely. I have this clone also and am completely excited! It is my first plant from the Catasetum alliance.

Can anyone please share some wisdom on what to do with it? Mine is much smaller RJ's beautiful plant, it just completed a larger growth compared to when I got it.

It seems to be trying to climb out of the pot and the media - is that typical?
