They get sprayed daily with an automated watering system. The problem with the Sphagnum heavy medium was that it stayed too wet and the roots started rotting.
I would show photos, but they don't look any better right now. There was a recent scale and thrips infestation and they look awful right now. Now that everything is sprayed they should rebound soon.
I just dropped off a massive Bc. Hippodamia that I was given for free to donate to the greenhouse. The 5 foot long roots are finding their way into Nepenthes ampullaria pitchers...... No medium what-so-ever, just draped over the shelf.
