Catasetum catarinense
This plant is currently in bloom in my greenhouse... I love the "poison" green color of these flowers...
being very honest, I cannot tell the difference between this species and the "sister" species Ctsm. socco, however, I am confident thi sis a true catarinense as I received this plant from one of the two authors who described the species in 2008.

Cool green. Is it darker or lighter than the plant?

I love how you describe the blooms as being "Poison Green" in color.
That's a beautiful plant, and you could say I'm green with envy. I love the color and shape of the flowers; there's something about them that's reminiscent of kiwifruit. I'd say I'd love to grow one, but I wouldn't want to bring one of these poor plants into my death row.
