Stanhopea lietzei (yellow hipochile w/o eyespots)
I really like this ‘variety’ (color forma) of Stan lietzei, which is the rarest (or less common) found in collections. Note that the flowers doesn’t have even the faintest red color, they have only the "shadow" of the red dots on epichile and the shadow of "eyes" in hipochile. I think that this variety, despite the yellow in the hipochile, is the closer to an "alba" among lietzei varieties. It is also smaller than other varieties, both the plant and flowers (and it’s not just due differences in growth conditions - which commonly occurs with Stan).
