Default Catasetum rivularium

Ctsm. rivularium: First time bloomer... plant and flowers really look like those of other Ctsm. rivularium I have seen in photos, but the labellum described and shown in the book "The World of Catasetum by Holst" is different... This is a very compact Catasetum with a very nice spicy fragrance!

Very nice. I like the green color with dark bars. What kind of media is the plant planted in?

Very exotic, very beautiful, and with a spicy fragrance to match these qualities. Who could ask for anything more?

it's growing in PET (a brazilian version of S/H), basically the same but using organic potting substrat (barl mix in my case) with a layer an inorganic (LECA in my case) layer in bottom just until above the drain holes..

It's beautiful!! You want more blooms, but it's not bad for a first time bloomer! Do you have a close up shot of one of the blooms?

This is a great plant Ramon! The green with dark bars and white hair is really cool. Good to see you finally got a plant that might match the label!

well... indeed... However, I thought it was again a wrong one, when comparing its lip to the drawings in Holst's book... but according to the brazilians, it is Holst's book the one that is "wrong"
