[Hawaiian Sunshine]

This is a very attractive and fragrant Cycnoches. I acquired the plant in 2007 from Orchid Center. The tallest bulb is 11 inches tall. The yellow flowers overlaid with avocado green have a natural spread of 3.2 inches. The tallest bulb has bloomed before at the top. The current inflorescence eminates about 3 inches above the base of the bulb. There are nine very fragrant flowers and three buds. The plant is grown in a 4-inch clay pot with New Zealand sphagnum moss as the media.

Stunning picture and ...........and wow the plant itself is awesome. Definetivelly it is a plant that I would love to have in my collection.

After five more days in bloom, the color of the flowers change to dark golden yellow. The flowers are still very attractive and remain fresh.

Really good looking flowers Mel! I have to say, this is the first time that I can remember a Catasetinae changing color over time, almost like a Brassavola nodosa hybrid. Very cool!
