Default Stanhopea Jungle Cat 'Top Dog'

This is one of Doug Pulley's hybrids. It was regestered as a cross between Stan. longipes 'Inca Gold' and tigina. Stan. longipes dose not exist. The plant came from the collection of the late Lil Severin. Sonewhere along the line when coying a lable Stan. nigripes became longipes.
The correct parentage is then Stan. (nigripes X tigina).
I sent pictures of the flowers of Stan. longipes I received from Doug Pully to Rudolf Jenny and he confirmed that it is Stan. nigripes. I have the pictures in my photo gallery.
Ths hybrid shows more influence of nigripes than tigrina. The fragrance is somewhat like the smell of a gift shope that sells sented candles

Interesting, looks like it got the tigrina coloration, but more of a 'primitive' Stan shape. Sounds like the fragrance is very nice too!

This is what Stan. nigripes 'Inca Gold' looks like.
