Coryanthes repotting question

I think there is some rubbish around about corys' & their need for extremely acid media. In cultivation they like moisture, humidity, fertilizer, good drainage & air flow, & HEAT!!! In my experience this is most growers' shortcoming; they are fast-growing active plants that sulk if too cool. One plant aborted 4 spikes at 16 0c min, finally flowering with 19 0c overnight minimum.
