thanks, yeah I agree.
- there is only one PB that may have some life in it. Wonder what could have happened. I did not leave it in my car, brought in same bag as other seedlings i got. Sphagnum was fresh from a Better-Gro bag.
browning started from leaf tip
i agree with isurus....that plant is toast....i think what you did was take it in a dormant state and immersed it in a wet warm medium and bacteria infected it and just took it down.....if oak hill will replace it let em....next time dont bury the pbs, just set them on top of the medium...they like spag, all mine love it, hanging in the gh with a fan on em full tilt...and watered copiously every day....gl
Thanks for the explanation. I did not bury the PB too much... but after all it makes sense - I should have just left them on top. Anyway Sphag was from a bag. Wonder why browning started at the tip of the leaf and traveled down. wonder if i could try to immerse the remaining PB in peroxyde.
I placed an order with Oakhill... hope they replace as they wrote me.
It was most certainly a bacterial or fungal infection: that can go quite quick. Probably the first visible signs came from the leaves, but it is quite likely that the infection started near the roots, spread through the inside of the PBs and then to the leaves. Given the state of your plant, it does not look likely that you will be able to save it.
