Default Gongora spike question

Anybody know if Gongora spikes will regrow from a node if the budded part has been broken off? (Yes, I did something ridiculously stupid and careless this morning while watering. Too angry for words right now.)

I've never seen the ones I knock off grow back! Like everyone just said, if the plant should throw a new spike ASAP. Be sure to post pics when you get a chance!

Thanks! It has two new developing spikes, both from different bulbs. I'll post pics when the blooms are open.
