Stanhopea wardii
One of my favourite Stanhopeas.
It has the MOST INCREDIBLE AND PLEASANT scent. Smells of dark chocoloate with a hint of pepper and cinnamon. And the scent hits you when you go into the greenhouse it is so strong.
It is also quite a prolific bloomer: these are the first two spikes. There was one more which I broke off (stupid me) and another spike coming.

Your stanhopea looks like jenischiana not wardii.

I was not quite sure, but then I read that wardii is very variable. But also that wardii is often sold wrongly.
What is the scent of jenischiana?

@Gwallogwyn: having read up a bit, I think you are right. It is jenischiana. It seems that 1 out of 4 plants you buy in Europe is mislabelled.

I was thinking jenishiana when I saw this too. Great looking color on those flowers. Really vibrant! Congrats!
