Default Catasetum pileatum imperialis "Pierre Couret"

I have in this moment this gift that I want to share with you guys. I bought this plant begining last year and this year is offering me a total of 25 deep burgundy red flowers in two simultaneous spikes. Now I understand why this plant was cloned. This spectacular blooming really stroke me during these days, I have never saw something like this before. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I think so veekay, the point is that the area is now infected by colombian and venezuelan narco-guerrillas and is quite dangerous to visit at this moment.

Great looking. I'm just acquiring my first mormodes and catasetums. They are too cool to not have in a collection.
