Default Acineta superba

I bought this Acineta four years ago, and this is first year to bloom. His scent is not strong and not exciting.

Looks good! This is such an underrepresented genus, I'm glad more people are starting to grow it.

Yes, the Acenitas have interesting flowers maybe "closed stanhopea flowers". I have superba, beyroditiana, antioquiae, and one Acineta-Stanhopea hybrids, its name is Aciopea Gunter Gerlach from Ecuagenera. I look forward to the sequel...

Hi Akos!

A superb Acineta! Congrats! I have difficulties with these guys (excess of humidity?) Aciopea Gunter Gerlach? A nice tribute to a leading expert in Stanhopeinae; webpages of Dr Gunter at the Botanical Garden Munich are wonderful, with a focus on Coryanthes (Dr. Günter Gerlach - Botanischer Garten München-Nymphenburg)

Thank you everyone for your visit !

I think the key to flowers is the Temperature.
Summer end Temperature night is 8-10 C and daytime is 25 C. My Wintergarden Humidtiy is 50-60 % all winter, and the Temperature day is 18-20 C and night is 6-10 C.

Thursday was a strong smell of vanilla and ripe fruit was today. Today was the last day.
