Default Stanhopea impressa

The Stan impressa this year lost three buds at the end of the spike, leaving only these two flowers. I think that a sudden change in temperature that occurred a few weeks ago (the temperature dropped over 10 degrees Celsius in a day) was the culprit

I really like the white and purple contrast with no spots. Very nice!

Hi Steve!

Yes, it's a nice contrast! The flowers are not so big in this Stan (maximum 8cm in the largest dimension), but the very long spike and many (not this year!)colorful flowers are a beautiful set! Not to mention the scent, very intense, but not exactly unpleasant, that resembles something chemical!

Wow, gorgeous flower... You've been unlucky but you're evidently a good grower and this is important
