Been a while but mine decided to bloom again. Seems like it takes forever for the buds to mature but fortunately they do have some character even in bud stage. The flowers are short-lived (like all members of the Stanhopea alliance) lasting only about a week.

This is a cool little hybrid that often blooms throughout the year. I just wish it had the scent of its relatives!!

Thanks for sharing! What conditions is it growing in? My Paphinia Majestic isn't happy at the moment, but I can't figure out what it likes.

I grow mine in a basket of sphag in a terr. Don't know that the terr is necessary but that is actually what I bought the plant for. It seems to resent drying out completely (as I discovered the hard way ... but I was busy and just didn't get around to watering). I try to water as it gets down to barely damp. Light -- fairly low, about phal levels. Temp more on the warm side.

Ah, so I'm probably just not giving it enough water then. Thanks, I'll try watering more often and see how that works.
